Artist Statement

Inspired by women making a positive difference and everyday moments of serendipity, I create collages, garments, mixed media installations, and energetic paintings that invite celebratory spaces of belonging. With an intuitive eye, I respond to color which leads to a considered layering of texture and energetic mark making.

I look at moments we come across daily that stop us in our tracks and explore how personal and collective stories are preserved. Through textiles, I capture the vibration of  energetic color to romanticize the everyday. It is my goal to encourage myself and others to take up space while being a constant work in progress.
